Since qualifying as a music teacher (PGCE secondary music specialist) in 1981 Ralf has been involved in music education in many forms.

He has worked as a class music teacher, visiting instrumental teacher, university lecturer, workshop tutor and ensemble coach for many schools, universities and educational organisations throughout the South-west, as well as teaching music privately from home.

He has lectured in music at both Bath Spa University and Bath College, on BA Music, BTEC, HNC and HND courses.

He has recently retired from formal teaching work to concentrate on working on his own music as both a composer and performer.
